Wealthy Mrs. Fitzhugh has finally located her long lost grandson, Alexander, working in a New Jersey pizza parlor. The clumsy teenager makes Jim Carrey look suave by comparison. To expose him to a healthy environment, Mrs. Fitzhugh enrolls him in Wrangler Ranch School -- its motto, "Howdy, pardner." Mrs. Fitzhugh's niece and nephew, also enrolled, can't stand Alexander. With the help of a fly-by-night private eye, they concoct an outrageous scheme that will force Mrs. Fitzhugh to disinherit her grandson. Meanwhile, even though he doesn't like fresh air and is allergic to horses, Alexander does his best to become a true Wrangler Rancher. The school's honor hinges on winning the saddle bronc competition in the upcoming rodeo. Unfortunately, Alexander's discarded banana peel lands the best rider, Duke, out of the competition. It's up to our tenderfoot to take his place! This simple-to-produce show features an incredible score bursting with modern country flavor. You'll find everything from toe-tapping two-steps to beautiful ballads and country polka. "Lonesome Ol' Cowboy" even includes original cowboy poetry from the 1800s. This is a score you've just got to hear! Wrangler Ranch Howdy, Pardner You Gotta Git Grit! Lonesome Ol' Cowhand Working in the City
